Looks like Tumblr is done with nudity. It was just a matter of time, if you ask me. Yahoo might have been willing to turn a blind eye, but there's no way Verizon was going to keep going that way.

And like Google+ before it, they picked a flimsy excuse to make such sweeping changes. Where Google decided a security breach was enough to shutter the Ploos, Verizon decided one case of child pornography was enough to shut down all nudity posts, not just the one account.

Seriously, does Tumblr have a valid use other than porn?

Uh ... I don't know. I've never used the site.
I for one say "..meh." Tumblr was slowly turning into a hub ruled by bots. I mean, do a search for Saitama and you find tons of fanfare pornographic imagery. Eh, say what you want, but it was only a matter of time. I'll still use my account to source commentaries, but if it disappears for good in the next two years...it was fun.
