The people who overwhelmingly supported #DonaldTrump in 2016 still support the president even as he sets in motion events that may ruin their farms and tear families apart. They seem to live in a world of naiveté where Trump is as great as he proclaims.

“Even though it might be bad medicine, I think if the president is telling the truth, he's got a lot of experience with negotiation. He wrote a book on it," said Kelly Rudd, an independent cranberry grower in Tomah, Wisconsin.

I'm amazed by the fact that NBC could not find one single farmer who was critical of Trump. My guess is that they didn't try very hard.

Jason ON Well, I think it's both. This kind of "Trump's supporters will never abandon him" kind of article is so common as to be a cliché. I'm sure they didn't even make an effort to find any dissenting voices.
