Tomorrow I get to figure out what's rattling.

For the record, what's rattling is my chain. Apparently it's done. D-U-N! The master link is incredibly wobbly and won't seat properly on the (rear) sprocket and every time the wheel turns there's a loud mechanical ratcheting noise.

I have a call into a local guy to see what he's going to charge me for a new chain/sprocket install. Hopefully it's not much.

The biggest problem is, I went out and tried to adjust the tension on the chain earlier, because it was too loose, and the chink/kink in the chain there at the master link is affecting the chain's movement for measuring. If the master link is anywhere but the rear of the rear sprocket it makes the chain too tight when the wheel turns. If the master link is at the rear of the read sprocket and it's adjusted to the [roper measurement then the chain is borderline too loose when it's everywhere else. Either way, it still makes that gods-awful noise whenever the chain goes around and around.

No bueno. That's why I was looking online for chains and sprockets in that other post. Looking to see if they can be found cheaper because I'm poor.
