Made by me.

Made by me. This is a 16th century map of Florida (where I'm from) burned into a sheet of leather. The pixelated portion is a message to my brother and his family to whom this is a gift. It's not finished yet. I have to "tan" the edges to give it a "used" look and then the leather finish to, we'll, finish it.

That looks bloody good.
Ooooh! Now I see!! Way cool Dude! You needed to convert the image to something you can trace on the leather.
Nice!

That's pretty epic. Nice job.

Curtis Edenfield exactly. And that's why I was looking for an easier/more efficient way to convert from a colored image to a black and white one for this.

So, I finally have a finished product. This is not it, but I "tanned" the edges to make it look like a map that might have been handled over the years. It's something I tried for the first time so has some issues I don't particularly care for, but that only adds to its uniqueness.

The private message to my brother is pixelated in the Gulf of Mexicohttps://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Pv8sL9JBRFfSEqH0DyMaj_tw8WtdYZDMFZxkecCcf2in6eOyzFOvnR7xkZDTx5yQLP0Q8zWzP6I

And here is the final product. Hopefully it looks like an old "pirate" map, or at least vintage enough.

Also, brother's name is pixelated out.https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/ywwDwfiFPWsf5DXUAde3bfpyieJ_Z50Q2lW1c_tJdJHk6HiB3sQp9RD1BvPnM4pvXUZ_COmWK1M
