A new Mississippi law seeks to overturn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obergefell_v._Hodges and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_v._Texas while enshrining christian mythos as the law of the land in direct violation of the Constitution, Everson v. Board of Education. It also outlaws consensual intercourse outside of marriage and confuses "biological sex" with "gender."

With the luck of the gods it will be overturned by a court soon enough.

An Arizona-based Christian group, Alliance Defending Freedom, helped write the Mississippi law that Republican Gov. Phil Bryant signed in 2016. The law protects three beliefs: that marriage is only between a man and a woman, sex should only take place in such a marriage, and a person’s gender is determined at birth and cannot be altered.
