If you've been in my circles for any length of time at all then you've probably heard me rant at one point or another about the conversation - the discussion - being paramount any other aspect of social media. These rants usually occur after some ideologue is not having everyone agree with him, or her, and shuts down the comments or starts banning commentors. The discussion, whether you're in alignment or not, needs to happen. If it doesn't, if we're not exchanging ideas in a respectful manner, then we're polarizing our culture.

And that's nothing good for anyone.
