Douglas county is to the south of where I'm sitting. Not too far south, maybe four miles.

What kind of terror do you live under when, not only do you have security in schools, but you're arming then with assault rifles?

When I was in high school in the late 70's, our rival school had security guards that searched every student as we walked through the door. (We went for a field trip to the planetarium there)
This school was newer, in a better neighborhood, higher class, snobier, but seemed to have a lot more issues than my high school for some reason. We didn't need guards, I wasn't afraid to walk the halls, I don't remember racism being an issue at our school. We all hung out together everywhere, as a whole school.
I don't get it....

I'm not implying racism is the issue here. I was just stating my experience.
