Great article about the persecution of Christians, or lack thereof, and the Rights overpowering need to codify religious protections in law due to the dwindling power of theocratic ideologies.

All laws are born from ideology, including gay rights, thou shall not kill, women's suffrage... The writer is trying to devalue one way of living just because it doesn't agree with his ideology. The people of TN have the right to codify what's important to them, just as much as California, or Colorado.

I disagree. Most laws, in fact, are born of necessity or bureaucracy. Most laws are matter of course, not ideological.

The writer, as far as I could tell, is claiming that this new law is pointless and doesn't address any existing problem. It's overkill for a nonexistent threat.

The people of Tennessee didn't go to the government asking for this law, the legislature of Tennessee passed this bill to prove an ideological point and codify their religion's preferences into law.
