I only use 2 Google services. GPlus and mobile Google Maps. As soon as Apple releases street view, I'll be down to one. And when GPlus shuts down, I'll be down to zero.

I wonder if the people that say having too much with one provider is not good, would feel more comfortable having e-mail from AOL (some people still have it LOL), social with Facebook, SMS/MMS through the cell provider, search through Yahoo, files/docs with OneDrive and so on, you get my point.  I certainly wouldn't.  I have made my choice, it's Google for everything.  I still use other services but nothing beats Google right now.

I think the important difference is whether you use a service or rely on a service. I use lots of Google services but the only one I probably fully rely on is Google Voice.

I have my own email so I could redirect that at any time. I use Google Drive but it is sync'd to my laptop so all my files are there - same goes with my music. In a pinch I could even use my carrier number in lieu of Google Voice. The reason why I stick with Google is that they don't lock in you to their services like so many others.  Oh and because their services are the best right now.
