The irony is that this issue on Harley touring bikes has been going on since the introduction of the Twin Cam 88 motor. It's a commonly known issue, not anything new. I had my rear brake go out on my 2005 Ultra Classic due to the same thing, the line coming loose, rubbing against the frame, and very slowly wearing out a hole. Something must have finally worked its way deep into Milwaukee's colon to actually admit this.
