Yeah, what we have is basically what happens when you put insurance industry executives in a room with legislators all asking the question "How can we make the greatest profit off healthcare without losing our heads?"

Robert Martin if they have insurance kick in and pay most of it, usually. If they don't have insurance or the company refuses to pay, rarely. That's part of why the bill is so high, that fewer than 1 in 100 can afford to pay it. Hospitals do get some reimbursement from the government, but public ones often run in the red and private ones often put liens on people's property or paychecks.
