Something is going on with G+. First, a lot of images aren't coming in -- instead I'm seeing that old box with the symbols in it like we used to see back in the 90s when an image didn't load. I'm also not seeing my profile picture in the status bar and I was in the middle of typing in a comment when the screen shifted and where I was typing in a comment shifted with it. That said, I have no idea where that post went.

I think it's time to log off.

I cleared the caches. And whatnot last week. And I was holding it differently.... :P

Hit ctrl-w and then ctrl-shift-t on the tab you want to kill. That will kill the G+ tab and force it to reload. You might be running a bit low on memory or something like that.

Now I logged on to 17 notifications, but not a single one of them was new and all were from last night. Methinks Google is working some stuff on the backend.

But, but, but ... I have only one open. Until Google created a tool to allow me to transfer this account to my GApps account.

I only have one google account but get the stale notifications all the time. Generally my gmail will keep the notifications up top even after I have checked them in G+. It's especially bad going between web and phone. It's the same with Facebook.

edit: maybe they aren't too stale, my gmail one just went away after about a minute.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend.

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend. Why? This stupid #gifwars thing people are so proud of. This Adam Black guy said he doesn't like gifs and now everyone is mass trolling him. Having been mass trolled like this I can relate to him easily enough. Have an opinion and the collective might of Google+'s lower class denizens jump on a bandwagon. I just saw a post where someone wanted to jump on board and had to get clarification she was tagging the proper Adam Black. She wasn't even connected to him ! Nor was she a part of the original discussion. She just wanted to follow the herd. When I called her out of it she claimed, "one gif doesn't make a troll." Perhaps not, but she's contributing to a larger troll effort. One straw doesn't break the camel's back, but thousands will. So, tonight, Google+ disgusts me. It probably will tomorrow as well. And possibly Sunday. I gave up Google+ for two months this spring
