Committee for Israel False Ad

The "Committee for Israel" which is not surprisingly backed up by a New York hedge fund has been running these ads in New York and YouTube for a few weeks in an attempt to smear the Occupy Wall Street movement as an anti-Semite group. The people portrayed in the commercial aren't even related to the OWS movement and were walking the streets of New York long before OWS was even envisioned.

They even go so far as to crop out the real OWS protesters who are calling these anti-Semite people out. The real OWS movement has been holding Jewish religious ceremonies throughout the occupation as there are hundreds of Jewish participants.

It turns out they are airing this commercial nationally today now so I feel it's important to spread this video which outs the truth behind this smear campaign.

Please share this so people know the truth!

Have you read this http://www.reddit.com/r/occupywallstreet/comments/kyjo2/an_open_letter_a? The open letter itself is a worthy read, but the conversation in the comments makes it even more important. Corporate media will continue ignoring and discrediting the movement, because that is what serves their interests. Groups are trying to co-opt the movement for their own purposes already. The supposed left/right political split in the U.S. is illusion. The true split is up/down and that is what this movement needs to focus on addressing.

I started reading the letter and will finish it later. I really had no intention of being online this lone. Damn red notification window! :D

I hear you! I've gotten less sleep (and been less on top of things like laundry) this week due to trying to stay informed about the movement. But it is important too.
