The easiest way, surely, will be to resign for vague health reasons. I'm not sure many people would even investigate it.

Yeah I agree i think he will find an excuse to resign. For all the nonsense bluster about "not giving up" etc he gives up on everything super easily. That's why he's so quick to declare bankruptcy all the time. He's only interested in his fortune so whatever method keeps that intact, he will use.

It's also possible that Roger Stone planted the "Alzheimer's" rumor for this purpose. As a legal defence.

It's also possible that the 25th Amendment will be invoked and Trump will simply be fired by Congress, on the grounds that he's unable to discharge the duties of his office. President Pence would probably do a purge of the administration and put a bunch of theocrats in control of the country. Then begins a period of paralysis not too different from what we've had, with clearly unconstitutional laws being shot down by the courts.

It all depends how much it's going to affect his bottom line. He's happily bankrupted several of his companies because it was financially beneficial to him, it's possible he'd do the same with his current scheme as "President"
