I am not a fan of rye whiskies, just rye bread. If you're into small batch whiskies, following in the footsteps of microbrews, you might be alarmed to discover where many of them come from.

I'm beef jerky blogger, and the same thing happens there. Probably 90% of the "artisanal", "old family recipe" brands were made by a factory that churns out jerky for 50 to 100 other small labels.  There are about 20 of these mega jerky factories churning out a thousand or so small brands.
