I have a friend who married a girl from Kansas. Since their first child was born she's been wanting to move back "to be closer to her family." He's entertaining the idea.

I don't think he knows what he's getting into. Sadly, he doesn't care, either. School choices, education and opportunity come second to "we can buy a lit of land for really cheap."

I think Hays, Lily Alice. Western Kansas, near the Colorado border in one of those dinky pass-through towns.

Wow. Well, I've driven through there. There is a university, and it's on the road to Denver, so...it could be worse...

I personally feel that they together should pray about the situation. I have in past relationships and am currently living close to my new husband's family and it causes a lot of marital problems!!! It says in God's word, The Bible, "A man should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one"! That is difficult to do if you have family (his or hers) nearby butting in to marital issues!!!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR DECISION!!!!
