Sometimes you have to wonder about some people.

Sometimes you have to wonder about some people. Was it drugs or merely neglect? How can someone treat their children like this? How does someone live in such filth?

I can't believe stuff like this still happens, I was removed from my parents because they couldn't look after me / were more interested in drugs and getting drunk / were very abusive. To make things worse though - my brother was already taken away from them before I was born for EXACTLY the same reason. I'm sure I'm not the only one who a) wonders why she was allowed to keep me after having already had one taken away and b) why they claim it took them 3 years to remove me from an obviously dangerous situation - because they had to "build a case". As a result - I was on to my 5th family by the age of 6.

My niece is in nearly this predicament. My brother feeds her but that's about it. He doesn't buy clothes, soap, toothbrushes or paste. Last time I was at his house I was afraid to touch anything.

Somebody should offer him a job now. Because he's a natural salesman.
