My son (Chad Roberts) has owned a 600 gixer & currently owns my (former) 1000.  I had the aforementioned 1000, plus a 750 track bike.  My wife also owned a 1000.  Yes, we are fans of the gixer.  :-)

Great video. I never owned one, but when I had my CBR600, I loved the GSX-R and wondered how those guys even stayed in the saddle.

I almost bought a GSXR 750 once, but decided on the SV1000s instead. I love my SV!

We've also owned your bike's brother, the nekkid SV1000, Jason ON.  We both loved it, but a very different motorcycle from the 750 gixer.  My trackbike dyno'd 132rwhp on pump gas & was a scalpel.  You could ride the front brake to the apex of a turn, & frequently had to because the bike generated so much speed.  The first time my wife rode it, she nearly went off the track, then came in complaining about the brakes.  I asked her where she was braking for turn 1, & she told me, "same place as the R6."  I laughed & said, "Baby, you're carrying 20mph more speed on this bike -- you need to back up your braking marker!"

I'm shutting down Google+ for the night and quite possibly for the weekend. Why? This stupid #gifwars thing people are so proud of. This Adam Black guy said he doesn't like gifs and now everyone is mass trolling him. Having been mass trolled like this I can relate to him easily enough. Have an opinion and the collective might of Google+'s lower class denizens jump on a bandwagon. I just saw a post where someone wanted to jump on board and had to get clarification she was tagging the proper Adam Black. She wasn't even connected to him ! Nor was she a part of the original discussion. She just wanted to follow the herd. When I called her out of it she claimed, "one gif doesn't make a troll." Perhaps not, but she's contributing to a larger troll effort. One straw doesn't break the camel's back, but thousands will. So, tonight, Google+ disgusts me. It probably will tomorrow as well. And possibly Sunday. I gave up Google+ for two months this spring
