Hope he feels better soon. My doggie had a similar (smaller) procedure last year. It healed up nicely .. after his fur grew back it's barely noticeable.

Our little one had something removed a few years ago now. I'm surprised there isn't some shaving around the incision in this pic. It took about a year for the bald patch to completely return to normal on Truman. You wouldn't know anything had been done now.

Brandon Poe, this is shaved for Rufus.

Chris Lang, dog.

Paul R, he gets he floor. Carpet or Pergo is up to him. ;)

What he really wants is to chase cats, squirrels, bunnies and anything else he thinks he can kill. Which is most things.
Poor pup, he's lucky to have you to take care of him though!

Is he wearing 'the cone of shame'?
Jason ON said…
Kryptyk Physh, not anymore. After the first 5 days I let him stop wearing it as long as I was around to supervise and then a couple more days and I didn't put it on him at all.

On a funnier note, I had him in a blue cone and called him 'Petunia' whenever it was on him. ;)

Good news. I know my dog, when he has to wear a cone, can only move backwards, for some reason. Hilarious, but pretty traumatic for the dog.

Hope it all goes smooth!  And Jason, stop teasing the dog.
I can't believe how much that has already healed!
