Deadly polar vortex begins to ease in US

A record-breaking polar vortex freezing much of the United States began to ease late Tuesday night.

Authorities reported at least 20 deaths related to the severe weather that was seen across the country. All 50 states had somewhere that was below freezing on Tuesday, including Florida and Hawaii.

Even as temperatures begin to rise, flight cancellations and strained power grids will continue to affect portions of the country. - NBC News
