I love reading the behind-the-scenes stories of legislation like this. It should be a constant reminder that there is rarely legislation that is moral or just when businesses are writing it.

And the sad part is the people of AZ jumped on the bandwagon decrying their racism to the world and trying to convince the rest of us this legislation was needed to make the cities and counties safer.
This is just proof what a good PR machine can do for an otherwise ridiculously blatant slap in the face to the Declaration of Independenc's line: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Unless, of course, you're in Arizona and you want to build a prison.
