The state of Maine wants to take severely mentally ill persons, bypass a the courts and judicial system, and send them directly to prison. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

Apparently, prison guards are better equipped to handle unruly persons with mental disabilities rather than a psychiatric institution that has people trained in the handling of mental illnesses.

Because we all know who are full of hugs and understanding, right? Yep, prison guards. They tolerate all sorts of prisoner issues with a soft understanding hand.

If a mental health issue becomes a criminal offense that circumvents due process than who ever "they" are can read your post, say this man is obviously crazy, step in to the way back machine and lock you up because thats what we do back in 1938 Germany.
