Found and Delivered

Driving down the road about 30 minutes ago and I see what looks like a cellphone in the middle of a fairly busy intersection where two two-lane roads meet.

I pull to the side, park and walk over to the intersection before hopping out and picking it up before the next wave of traffic cones through.

Not only if it s cellphone but it's one of those book style cases where the phone is on one side with slots for credit cards, ID, etc. on the other.

In there was a driver's license, a credit/debit card, Costco card and more.

In the past, before "smart" phones I'd dial 611 from a found phone and get in touch with the carrier who would then contact the owner for me  But this girl was smart, she had a PIN lock on her phone.

So, I decided to take the phone to the local police department hoping they could get it back to her.

After delivering the phone to a Community Services officer it occurred to me that I had this girl's address and could have delivered it myself.

I'm a little slow sometimes.
