In used Blab exactly once. For me it was nothing more than a rehash of when Google+ first introduced Hangouts, but without the Plus-wall. And like Hangouts it was fun and entertaining, used by some to explore the world and others to conduct business. And, as Hangouts' popularity waned (in large part to Google not understanding "social") so too did Blab. As this blog post explains: live streaming just isn't that enticing. Generally, it's someone trying to video blog their life - live. Occasionally I'll peruse some Periscopes to see what people nearby or where I'm going are talking about but it's generally dull. And unlike (the original) Hangouts or Blab, interaction on Periscope is via the typed word, not video chat, making it much more cumbersome to interact with the host.
