Equal access to health care is a privilege?

Equal access to health care is a privilege? So says the young woman who received tax layer funded healthcare. One has to wonder if she'd believe the same if she had a more stingy employer or had to self-provide. #MissUSA #Healthcare #ACA #Obamacare https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2017/05/15/miss-usa-says-health-care-is-a-privilege-not-a-right-sparking-debate-during-pageant/?utm_term=.4b662dff4203

What's next for the #GOP's repeal and replace plans? In short: the Senate. Originally shared by **** The Senate is not the end of the line for repeal-and-replace, it's just the graveyard for the House version just passed. The right kind of leadership, wily and shrewd and steeped in Senate micro-maneuvering, might just find a way to bring a few Democrats on board. And if you are looking for that kind of leadership, untrammeled by ideological purity or other forms of fuzzy thinking, you need look no further. I give you Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky. #ACA #Obamacare #AHCA #Trumpcare #Healthcare #MedicareForAll #SinglePayer http://www.npr.org/2017/05/07/527127968/dont-count-on-the-senate-to-save-obamacare-or-to-save-the-house?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20170507

In #TrumpNation the proper way to celebrate a move to take health insurance away from tens of millions of people is to pop open a cold [for some ungodly reason] Budweiser. When religion serves a secular need, dogma can't be far behind.

When religion serves a secular need, dogma can't be far behind. Originally shared by **** Catholic Hospitals Are Slowly Merging With Secular Hospitals All Over The Country Here's an article about how it's going down in Western Washington State. Unfortunately, as the Catholic church buys up more and more hospital systems, it doesn't matter whether you are Catholic or not. If you are stuck in this hospital system, you must live or die by these rules. Or drive miles to find another hospital.  Why is the Catholic church so heavily invested in healthcare? It earns them money. In 2010, they had 170 billion dollars revenue out of the USA alone. ( http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2013/03/13/catholic_church_revenue_one_of_america_s_biggest_businesses.html ) Whether you realize it or not, this has a direct impact on you if you visit any of their affliated hospital systems (which are growing larger every year.)  From the article:  .....Mary says she demanded an abortion but wa...
