I don't know how the Marvel Entertainment​ Universe is set up, but the indoEuropean gods of which Thor is a part of, are in fact mortal. Sure, they live a long while and whatnot, but they can be killed.

Also: nothing beats the Hulk in a test of strength. Nothing.
