I've said some variation of this for years. The GOP is reaping what it sowed over the past few decades. It now has an entire generation that believes everyone to the left of far right is determined to destroy the the USA.

I don't envy the GOP. I also don't envy an environment that allowed a bigoted racist xenophobe to be the most magnetic persona for the party they cultivated.
