It's a nice enough post, but I tend to look at stuff like that as an unnecessary upgrade.

The only way I see this as being beneficial is if you're replacing a faulty component anyway, but even then, a faulty component isn't necessarily a sign of a defective design.

In my experience (having replaced most of the charging system on my own bike), the best thing you can do for your charging system is to take time to ensure that all of your connections are clean and tight, and then pack them with dielectric grease. It's really a rarity to see charging components fail unless you have another, unseen problem going on.
