Apparently someone who used to own this piece of property used cars to line a creek. I don't know if that was standard practice 50 years ago or what, but down all these cars are holding back the earth from falling down and blocking the water.

This Bel Air was one of those cars.

Common practice then in some rural areas of the USA ... probably still is now.
