Oh my gods! The first chapter, or prologue, was amazing and really showed how the FBI and especially John Ashcroft dropped the ball.

It's frightening how many rights have been trampled on and powers have been granted to gov't agencies with the excuse that we need them based on what's happening.  When you really look at what has happened, it's pretty clear that a lot of the bad stuff would have already been prevented if everyone was doing their job, and further that the erosion of our rights has not made us more secure.
