He's played the full range of characters, good guys and bad guys.  I've heard that he dislikes being touched so the fact that he did this makes him an even bigger hero.

The burning car reference is right in the first sentence of the article, Elizabeth Bathory: "He may have played a super-villain, but Jamie Foxx went into real-life superhero mode on Monday when he saved a man from a burning car."
