Being a trauma nurse and seen head injuries with and without helmets.
I always wear a helmet, even on a quick trip in town.

I'm in a rider decide state, and I'm all for rights. I always wear my helmet. Of course, you're gonna see higher mortality rate in rider decide states. And those people chose their fate. If I do ride without a helmet, I will have chose mine as well. If it affects tax dollars then change legislation so it doesn't affect tax dollars. Don't try to change the rights of people to make stupid choices.
