I don't typically read SciFi novels preferring "fantasy", or sword and sorcery, instead, but even then the Tolkien tropes of a quest comprised of a team of mixed races has become old and stale. That's why I prefer much more sophisticated stories these days.

Do you read SciFi? Do you find the world building lacking?
