I had also looked that article up because I wanted to find the shooting where police had cordoned off the school but didn't go in. I was a bit shocked seeing just how many there were. You guys truly don't like schools...

Jason ON I think so, but I couldn't see that fact mentioned in its Wikipedia article, so I thought I was mistaken. But if you say that too then I guess I was right.

The Columbine shooting happened just a few weeks after I moved to Denver (Littleton being a suburb of Denver). I vividly recall watching the aerial footage of the police encamped outside of the school and none going in. When a reporter asked a police spokesperson why the police weren't going into the school the reply was they didn't want to put anyone else in danger.

So, it may be that shooting or any of a dozen others you're thinking about.
