Had a guy ride with us to the Four corners rally with nothing but a plastic poncho... He made it work as a lean to/bivouac thing... It took up a wallet size area in his saddlebag. Lol.
You live in Colorado, you should definitely get an adventure bike. I have one and I'm seriously looking to move to Colorado. Obviously not just for the riding (that's what I tell my wife, so good to keep the story consistent)
I like the idea, but because I sew, all I can think is, "I can make one for myself." This doesn't seem practical for rain. So, how far can you possibly go and say, "Oh, this was the best thing to bring!" Maybe a weekend? I like camping and I like motorcycling. I would like to do a weekend moto-camp trip now and then. So I'm going to make something like this for myself. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
When I travel alone, I have a backpacking tent that fits nicely in my tour pack. And a twin air mattress. Never leave home without an air mattress, or else my hips and back would seize up. When I travel with Ken, he has perfected the tent travel set up. Nice tall dome tent, queen air mattress, and two, zero degree sleeping bags that zip together. A must have even in the summer some times. I carry one sleeping bag on the back seat of my bike, and he carries the rest of that perfectly rolled inside a tarp and then into a duffel.
I used to do this, spring time, before I headed to Alaska for fishing season. I rode my ninja 600 all over the west coast for about $60 a day . I have a bad back, and I'm too old to do it on a ninja now .maybe a new honda African; )
Of the two of them, we now know which one Vlad "the Mad" Putin believes is the girl in their relationship. For a "macho macho man" like #DonaldTrump that's going to hurt. #TrumpNation http://www.denverpost.com/2017/09/05/vladmir-putin-donald-trump/
So, I asked Andrew Tamm, who filled my Stream with a hundred (sarcasm there) animated gifs and cat pictures to remove me from whatever Circle he has me in where he posts the animated gifs and cat pictures. It was either that or unfollow him and I didn't see any reason to unfollow him. Am I the only one who thinks so? So far I have only blocked people who have overtly spammed a thr...

I just don't really have that level of minimalism as a desire anymore.
In a way it is more fun. No bathing concerns, a toothbrush and bottle of water and changea of socks and underwear for every other day.
Ride, sleep, or drink.
But I have more stuff I want to do now.
