OK, so it wasn't just me or my Chrome browser the reason I could not make it back to G+. I switched to Chrome 25 beta and I am back in. Will go back to the latest Chrome to see if its working again.

Seems to be coinciding with an updated release of the G+ Android app. Hitting me too, and a lot of other folks from the sound of it.
