Jim sounds like he drank far too much of the Kool-Aid for anyone's good. How long before "open carry" becomes "shoot them before they commit a crime?"

I don't think it's kool-aid at all. I actually have pity on him. He's depressed, scared, and feels betrayed. Guns and infowars have become his security blanket, that both comforts him, but also makes him more paranoid.

And that's sad. And scary for the rest of us.
