This is actually some good advice. As one of those "socks and mittens" kids it does seem weird (in retrospect) that Santa gave better gifts to other kids. Of course, as a kid, I don't recall ever asking "What did Santa bring you" but rather "What did you get?"

My wife and I have continued my family's Hanukkah traditions of receiving quite a few nights of underwear, PJs, and related, along with a few small goodies mixed in. You never know what you'll get!
