So, I post a photo to a community.

So, I post a photo to a community. It gets a handful of +1s but nothing spectacular. Then someone pops in and says "Great photo! I shared it with this other community. I gave you credit."

Gee thanks. Since I took the photo I could only hope I was given credit.

Not worried too much about it I merely asked if he had a link to the post on another community.

The man's response was, "Go search for it. It's called XYZ Community."

Um, what? He shared my image and then told me to go search for it?

That's just rude in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree.

But, if it's a public community, you can just look at his profile and see the post he made. And if he gave you credit by tagging your name, you should get a notification about that too.

Sounds like a spammy way to get you to go use his "community" of choice.

I didn't even think of going to his profile, Arthur Hollingsworth. Thanks!

He just replied again instructing me on what communities are and how to find them. Argh...

Now don't you feel enlightened?

At least he shared it and didn't just copy it and mention you.

I thought that's what he'd done at first, Stacy Sanchez, but when I found it I'd discovered he shared it legitimately.
