Google ends up with patents and loses a net $10B. But they setup Lenovo to be a strong player in the Android handset manufacturing world. I'm sure they will maintain some decent influence within Lenovo too.
Meh. I was unsurprised when Google did this since they wanted the patents, which did them no good afterall. Otherwise the Nexus line would have come to Moto, it didn't happen. Personally, I'm glad Lenovo took if off Google's hands. Google had no intention of making Motorolla not Motorolla; and it needed to do that.
