How come, when looking at "Nearby" in my android G+ app I can see limited posts?

How come, when looking at "Nearby" in my android G+ app I can see limited posts? Doesn't limited mean it was posted to a Circle? If it was, then how can I see it?

Really? Okay, I guess that makes sense. I'm not following any of these people as far as I know, but then again, so many people are following me on a daily basis I don't have time to go through all their profiles and determine whether to follow them back.

I do the same thing, Shean McCollin. I don't have a Denver circle, but I do have a Colorado circle. People in other parts of the world don't care about Denver specific things. Or at least, that's my opinion.

They're not public, they're Limited yet somehow I can see them.

You can click the Limited link and see if your face is listed (it should be). You can also visit the profile of the post author and check if you are in his or her circles (you should be).

The answer is....'Extended Circle Posts'.

Jason, let's for a moment say that you don't have Michael encircled, but I do. If Michael posts to Extended Circles, it's visible to everyone he has in his circles (me), and everyone that those people have in their circles (you, via me). If that post also happens to fit the 'local' criteria, it *should* show up in your Local tab in the mobile app, if it's all working correctly.

Also, if you were to go to Michael's profile and pick his posts tab, you'd be able see the post there, too - though there's been some debate as to whether his post would show up anywhere in your stream - They don't apparently show up in 'incoming' (which is for people who circled you, but you haven't got them circled), or your main stream (which is only for people you have circled somehow...)

That makes the most sense. Kind of a 6-degrees. But I also wonder if it was some sort of a fluke: when I went back to check the Nearby's on G+mobile all the Limited's were gone.

It might have updated your location the 2nd time. There is a known issue, where the location update isn't happening when it's needed. You should definitely report it as Feedback.

I don't make a lot of personal posts so please bear with me. #Rufus hasn't been doing well for the past week or so. I mean, he's 13 (at least), and has slowed down due to age, but the past week or two he's been acting like every movement is a Herculean effort. A few times in the past couple of weeks his rear legs have given out on him completely to where I've had to pick him up and carry him which is, in itself, telling. Rufus has always hated being carried and struggled continuously when I did so. Yesterday while petting him I noticed two golf-ball sized things up under his chin. Now, they may be benign lipomas as Rufus is covered with them (one one each thigh, one on each shoulder, one on his chest and a few smaller bumps here and there) or they may be indicative of something else. I'm no vet and aside from emergency medic battlefield training I have no medical experience whatsoever, but these new things seem to be where your or mine lymph nodes are located....

Did you know dog meat is served in restaurants in South Korea? I didn't. In the United States and most western countries, Fido is a family companion and while it's not ethical to judge another culture by our standards, anyone who doesn't at least (humanely) butcher the animal first is acting without proper care. South Korea relies on western consumerism for their economy and needs to be aware that we do not accept the practice of skinning and boiling dogs alive. Originally shared by April Benney Over 6,000 restaurants in South Korea are still serving dog meat even though it is now illegal. In many Asian countries dogs are boiled alive or skinned alive when slaughtered. It's an unbelievably horrendous & torturous way to die.
