Progress always happens. You can't stop it, even with total dominion over the culture or society. It can't be stopped, it can only be slowed., but it always prevails.

Fifty years ago yesterday a small step in the name of progress spread across the pages of newspapers across the country because one school teacher asked one man to be brave.

And he was.
