Sounds like the Trumps are trying to skirt the intention of the law by having non-paid Federal employees in the White House:

Let's think about this, though:
Secret Service and DOD pay ridiculous fees to Trump properties in order to the keep the President's family safe. Those fees then pay #DonaldTrump, who has not divested from his companies. Donald Trump then pays Ivanka and her husband from his company's accounts.
In another world, this would be called money laundering.
