Maybe it's the motorcycle rider in me, but I'm thinking of a flexible clothing that turns hard as diamonds when you hit the ground, thus protecting you from road rash. Obviously it won't do much against the impact itself, so you might walk away with some bruising or a broken rib or two, but would motorcycling be any fun if it weren't for some risk?
