Looks like Ben Affleck isn't going to be directing The Batman film. It's a little disappointing since Affleck is a good director, but maybe his press release is true, maybe he can't commit wholly to one role while donning the cap of another.
Or, maybe the speculation is true. Maybe Warner Brothers isn't thrilled with Affleck's latest directorial outing. Maybe one was conditional upon the success of the other.
Frankly, we can sit here and speculate all day. The only people who know what really happened are Affleck's and Warner Brothers'.
