So, the new new Google bar isn't floating as I scroll down the screen today. :(

Huh. Mine is working just fine- and it usually doesn't. I think Google randomly breaks things according to IP addresses.

Believe this one has to do with screen size.
It's not a screen size thing. It's just a random bug based on IP. In one location, on the same laptop with the same window size, it works. In another location it doesn't.

Actually it doesn't even seem to be IP related, because my page looks different between Safari and Chrome.

its not an options.. as i said.. its a bug... and the bug seems to be related to screen size. although havard is saying otherwise. either way.. if its happening to you... report it with send feedback ... :P

Sent feedback already and my screensize hasn't changed. I keep the Chrome browser at the same size all the time.
I really do think it's location based since it happens on the same laptop but in different locations.

Its a screen size thing. Zoom out a little. The difference is there is no option for just black bar now. Its either black and grey together, or nothing at all now.

Yup 100% right Joe Lancaster zooming out fixed the issue. Good find.

Zooming out? On the browser? I'm already at 100%.

Went down to 90% and it worked. Weird.
I was playing with the height and width of the browser and figured out how to make both the gray bar and the black bar to scroll with the page.

Still think it's weird that it doesn't behave the same depending on my geographic location.
