Need photo editing software but don't have the capital for Photoshop? Here are some free software packages.

Personally, I have used GIMP, Picasa and Picnik but will look into some of these others. Paint.Net looks interesting.

Lightroom isn't free - but it's a LOT cheaper than PS -- and does a great many photo processing tasks really really well.
