What the hell? First the dog is abandoned and then beaten as a direct result of abandonment? I'm glad the owners are seeing consequences but the article doesn't mention what, if anything, will happen to the children who beat the poor dog. Obviously they know it was children, did they track any of those little bastards down?

Little bastards. I hope they suffered at least some consequences for this. IMO the law needs to start coming down hard in cases of animal cruelty.

More than being made to "pay"...those kids need to be in therapy or at least, being watched because if you would beat a defenseless animal then what would you do to another human being?
