That's weird. Both my Android phone and my CM7 NookColor can connect tot the internet through the wifi but my netbook cannot even though it has done so in the last 24 hours. Nothing has changed with settings or passwords or anything.

All 3 devices are in the same room and are within feet of each other.

I'd have asked the same thing Mark Richards did. I'd also wonder if there was an IP address conflict between some of the devices.

I haven't rebooted the router since yesterday. Its upstairs in my roommates room so I'm not going to do it now.

Jason ON Can you access it remotely? For example, maybe by pointing your browser to something like 192.168.0.1? Some routers have a web-based interface that will let you reboot it.

Sad part? I'm on the wifi OJ the nook trying to troubleshoot the wifi on the netbook. Even though the netbook says I'm connected to the wifi cannot log into the router from the netbook. Wtf?

Jason ON Silly question but do you have a limit on how many devices can be connected at once? We have a hot spot that allows 5 devices at once.

Not sure on this router, but my phone wasn't connected earlier (I did connect it to check connectivity) and there are only two devices connected right now anyway.

Check your router, many times the MAC address changes on Android devices, maybe its hiding on to the old ones and there's no more available. Check DHCP reservations.

Sounds like an IP conflict - a software issue. Try (from your Dos Prompt) ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew

Be warned. Every time you reboot a Android device, you get a different MAC address, happens every time on my DroidX running CM7. Popular complaint on the forums.

Was it solved? I would like to be sure you really DO connect to the internet with your Android - I'm not talking just about connecting to the Router but really opening a browser and surf the net - can you do that?

When my DHCP wasn't reachable it was only, no exception, an ISP issue. But, before calling them for status I would "do that thing"... restarted my Router and Modem (and the Vonage - in my case) - just to be sure. When that didn't work I'd thanked Verizon for keeping me connected... good luck

Yes, I was finally able to get it working. I reset the DHCP in the router and for good measure I opened up some more access while I was in there.
