Rufus Walk in Snow

Took the camera with me this morning when I took Rufus for a walk. We did a little trail, about 3.5 miles round trip. I took the camera mainly to get pictures of the snow and Rufus playing in the snow and whatever other wintery things I could find to take pictures of today.

These first two are snow on top of a evergreen-style bush. I just wanted to get close-ups of the snow.





Rufus spooked some ducks and they flew off.



And some geese flew overhead.

Some of the doggies we see on our walks. This rottie is very friendly and likes to watch us pass.



This guy is a barker and his only view is from where his wooden fence meets the neighbor's chain-link.



This beast was howling like mad!



This pretty golden likes to stand in the corner and watch us pass.





And then I saw this leaf sinking in the snow.



I just liked the way the wood met the steel.

I don't make a lot of personal posts so please bear with me. #Rufus hasn't been doing well for the past week or so. I mean, he's 13 (at least), and has slowed down due to age, but the past week or two he's been acting like every movement is a Herculean effort. A few times in the past couple of weeks his rear legs have given out on him completely to where I've had to pick him up and carry him which is, in itself, telling. Rufus has always hated being carried and struggled continuously when I did so. Yesterday while petting him I noticed two golf-ball sized things up under his chin. Now, they may be benign lipomas as Rufus is covered with them (one one each thigh, one on each shoulder, one on his chest and a few smaller bumps here and there) or they may be indicative of something else. I'm no vet and aside from emergency medic battlefield training I have no medical experience whatsoever, but these new things seem to be where your or mine lymph nodes are located....

Did you know dog meat is served in restaurants in South Korea? I didn't. In the United States and most western countries, Fido is a family companion and while it's not ethical to judge another culture by our standards, anyone who doesn't at least (humanely) butcher the animal first is acting without proper care. South Korea relies on western consumerism for their economy and needs to be aware that we do not accept the practice of skinning and boiling dogs alive. Originally shared by April Benney Over 6,000 restaurants in South Korea are still serving dog meat even though it is now illegal. In many Asian countries dogs are boiled alive or skinned alive when slaughtered. It's an unbelievably horrendous & torturous way to die. What's so innovative about the Apple Watch?

What's so innovative about the Apple Watch? What has Apple done since the launch of the iPhone that was truly innovative? I read articles all he time about features this and software that, but I haven't seen anything where it was definitively proven where Apple has been cutting edge for years. christopher rizzo called me a troll for questioning his religious adherence to Apple consumerism.  So, can someone explain where Apple is truly innovative?
